About Us

Young Marines learn new skills in areas such as compass reading, drug prevention training, first aid, academic achievement, community service, and physical fitness. Leadership is acquired by becoming competent in these skills and advancement in rank and ribbons. The Lewiston Young Marines is one of over 300 units belonging to the national Young Marine Program. The Young Marine program is one that endeavors to instill positive values in today's boys and girls, aged 8 through completion of high school. There are more than 14,000 young Americans guided by the Marine Corp League members and veterans giving back to the next generation of young Americans. Our unit serves youth throughout the Lewiston-Clarkston valley and the surrounding area. We train in Lewiston at 1127 8th Avenue. Our mailing address is PO Box 413 Lewiston, ID 83501. New recruits will train on Saturday's from (10 to 1400). The Young Marine program is not a program for video game junkies or a baby-sitting service. It is a challenging, exciting and motivating program that requires commitment from the parents and the child to excel.

Do you have what it takes to be one of the few? The proud?
